So whaddaya think over all in a general way?
Color is a weird thing. Sometimes a color that looks great in one application looks terrible elsewhere. An example would be yellow ochre. The color looks stunning on a late-60s/early 70s Alfa Romeo GTV. Same color on a Datsun looks like baby poop. For that matter, the same color on an Alfa Spider doesn't work. So why is it so great on a GTV?
That being said, my favorite colors tend to be jewel tones, with emerald being high on my list at the moment. My wish bass (that doesn't exist) would be an emeraldglo fretless Ric 4004.
White. It hides dings and scratches fairly well, doesn’t show finger prints, matches everything, and looks great under all kinds of stage lighting.
It looks great on almost any bass, & it absolutely refuses to blend into the background.
Be seen and be heard!
eggplant glow for me ( as I mentioned in a Ric post), followed by a Honey-Burst.
Fender's Torino Red is pretty cool imo.
I was waiting like half a minute for the picture to load....
My P Bass is Honey Burst
Any picture would have required a rainbow slice of many, many colors on a generic bass, so you could choose. Decided to use the word general to personalize for responders. I remember President Eisenhower asking the same question...oh, somewhere summer of 1954 I think IIRC, when he was trying out a Fender P...and so thought to see what us "moderns" would say.
Nice bass for sure, but no burst that I can see.
I was referring to this honey color with the darker burst around it:
I thought the post was going to be a picture of a bass that you proposed has the best color ever, and asking what does everyone think about it.
Depends on the bass. My Steinberger is black, and could be no other color. Painted one of my Corts black and it’s freaking invisible on stage. Hate it. Stripped and refinishing that to copper.
Understand completely. Right on for the copper---post pic when done, please?
It's a FSR GC sold a few years back. Mine is pretty subtle. There may be more examples that show it better.
Plus that's a cell phone photo. The Finish is very thin.
I like 'em natural, baby:
Just Freakin Love Her !
Sure would like to see it on the link you provided, but the site said IMAGE COMING SOON, darn it.
