+10 to Barry's comment. I have an Ergo 6-string that I can't stop playing. There is no problem playing an Ergo with a bow. Check out the Ergo homepage and listen to some of the YouTube recordings on there to get an idea of the sound.
DO NOT GET THE PALATINO!!
The palatino is very sensitive to non-native climates and low humidity kills it. The palatino is a great sounding instrument, but the bridge often needs adjusting and the fingerboard wood is often warped. I'm on my third replacement palatino since i can't afford anything worth crap.
