Depends on the context. For pop and RnB I still go back to Whitney Houston. For rock I can’t get enough of Emily Armstrong from the band Dead Sara. There are so many others, but those two always standout to me.

First name that came into my head when I saw the title of the thread was Karen Carpenter. Just pure perfection. Can’t hear her without marveling anew.
