Best flat wound B string?

I know Ernie Ball Cobalt Flats have been done to death around here... but I have a .130 on my Sterling Stingray 5HH and I can't believe how good it sounds on a $450 5-string bass. Just as tight and punchy as the other strings. It's unreal.
Both Cobalt flat and Group flat has great B string ! Unfortunately EB didn't provide super long set on their both flat. If yes, sure " Must Have " on my SRMS725 ! :bassist: :bassist: :bassist: :bassist:

I’m resurrecting this thread for the B String flat crowd 🧟🧟‍♀️
...
This thread was very helpful to me when I was seeking a good B string, so I figured I’d keep it alive for those on a similar quest.

I don't have any direct hands on comparison, but after reading up online I decided to put D'Addario Chromes on my trbx605, and I've been quite happy with them. They deliver exactly what I was hoping for from flatwounds, and I find the .132 B string very playable with a nice strong fundamental :)

You could use the B from the La Bella low tension set. It’s light, .118 but it has the best intonation of all the flat wound B strings I’ve tried. Second place goes to the TI B, at the other end of the gauge spectrum, .136.
LaBelle makes the best! Low Tension set is the way to go! Longest and brightest also. Been using these strings since they come out!

I recently picked up an ESP RB-1005 with Aguilar P and J pickups. This is to replace my previous FNA Jazzman due to ergonomic issues. I put a set of LaBella 760FX-B’s on it. Nice enough strings, but the B is much thuddier and boomier than the other strings. It’s usable, but barely.

Is anyone aware of a “cleaner” sounding flatwound B? I was kind of wondering about Chromes, I see that you can get a .132. I have a set of old Chromes on an Essex Jazz, and they’re great, but it’s a 4 string.

Experimenting with flats can get expensive.
I love La Bella LTFs and I have them on most of my basses except one but the best sounding B string I've heard or used so far is the Rotosound Jazz Bass 77 Monel but the texture is not as smooth under the fingers.
