I love my LH1000 but it sounded like muddy poop through my Ampegs. I since got rid of them and it sounds like gold through my Hydrive 410.

For you? I suggest the GK 700RBII or the 1001RBII, or the Hartke 3500 or 5500. Do it.

I can't believe nobody has suggested a vintage Ampeg V4 or V4B!

That is the only answer to the OP's question, in my book.

Don't think you'll find a good condition V4-B for 400 clams. I certainly woudn't sell mine for that much.
