Best Head (under $400 used) for Ampeg 810

Can the Ampeg PF-500 really push an Ampeg 810? I'm only throwing this out there as I have the pf500 and used it with a Berg NV610 for 2 gigs and while it sounded good IMO it need more oomph.
An SVT is 300w. PF500 has 500w. It will be fine. I have put 25w from my B-15 into my 810 before, and it pushed it fine. The wattage does not have to match up to the power handling. In most circumstances, you won't be able to turn up that loud anyway. If you needed 800w to push an 810, amps wouldn't have volume knobs.

If you do decide to look at Hartke's then go for the HA5500. Great quality, dirt cheap used, loud as all hell, and many more tone shaping capabilities than the LH1000.

I play an HA3500 now that I sold my LH1000 to fund as well as get some extra cash. The LH is a decent head but the EQ is pretty limited IME and the HUGE power ratings only kick in when it's in "bridge" mode. In stereo the LH's power ratings are rated LOWER (wattage-wise) than my HA.
