Best HPF (High Pass Filter) on the market?

Broughton is my go to for High and Low Pass Filters, and utility pedals in general.
Broughton and fdeck are both highly regarded around here. I run a Broughton and can't imagine needing anything else. Turn it on, set it and forget it.

I use an fdeck occasionally with my upright in boomy rooms. It's super clean and has been reliable thus far.
Question for the Broughton users: I was looking at their $95 mini HPF and was curious about the 9-24 volts power requirements. Would it be ok to use a One Spot daisy chained off a couple other pedals? Or does this thing need a dedicated power supply.
I'm not a pedal guy and just afraid of adding any distortion (the undesirable kind) into the mix.

I'm not sure how daisy chaining your power supply will affect it. I'm running mine at 9v off of a el-cheapo Donner DP-1 on my pedal board and it works fine.

Most should be fine, but if you have digital pedals, best to keep them isolated for power.
9v is fine. You can run it at higher voltages, but if I remember right, Josh said it didn't make any noticeable difference for how it sounds.

Cut lows if you're in a room where it's too boomy.
Separate the lows to send to your bass amp, and the highs to send to a guitar amp.
Or to two bass amps with a 1x15" in one and a 4x10" in the other...

Vong Filter, which has more options than the Broughton (it has DI for one).
Broughton Always On is small, effective and dead simple.
Isn't the sfx thumpinator a HPF?

I sometimes use a Powersoft K-3DSP power amp, which has onboard DSP. You can access a number of parameters in their built-in Armonia software, which offers a selection of filter types and slopes.
...slightly off topic, but I am happy to see onboard HPF controls on a couple of higher end bass head offerings (Mesa D800+ and Berg Forte HP)......hopefully this feature will eventually trickle down to more and more bass heads....since I began using an HPF I am now pretty much always using one.....either a Broughton pedal or the ones integrated into my D800+ head and pedal pre.
fdeck for me, works great as a buffering pre-amp for the piezo on my upright, in addition to cutting the subsonics and boom out of the signal.
Honestly: What's the difference between HPF and just turning down the bass frequency? There must BE a difference. A lot of guys on TB love their Broughton.
A regular Bass EQ knob, and a High Pass Filter are very different things.
Turning down your bass knob cuts a range of frequencies, but leaves everything outside of that range alone. (Unless it's a shelving filter, which is similar to, but typically not as steep as a Pass Filter on the curve.) See the curve for peak below.
A Pass Filter has a very steep curve, and only cuts, but it cuts everything above or below (depending on High or Low Pass) the set point by a large amount.
Here's a post with a visual representation of graphic EQ vs HPF. As you can see, the HPF is a steeper and more dramatic cut.
