Best Ibanez Bass?

How do you find the sound of those basses? Are they produce the same sound?

I have only played the FF for a minute through a practice amp because I just had hand surgery, but it seems like the preamp is really versatile and can pretty much give you any sound you need.

The Terra Firma is awesome...I use it for solo stuff, in a metal band, and in a church band. If they made it in different wood combos, I'd buy all of them!

If you're an advanced player like me, the sr505 would be a good choice. I've also have tried out some lower leveled Ibanez basses and they're actually not too shabby. I currently own an Ibanez gsr205b and it sounded pretty cool. I was curious about this bass because it has a mahogany body(which I'm a fan of). also I bought this bass to hold me over until I am able to purchase a higher leveled Ibanez bass(which I plan to buy sometime this year). other than that, some of the lower leveled Ibanez basses like the sr305 and the sr405 are pretty decent.

I just purchased my first 5 string, it's an Ibanez SR305, and I'm loving it. Playing it way more than any of my other basses as of now. Great set-up, great tone and highly versatile. Love it.

Groovy. I once own an Ibanez sr305 and it was a pretty cool bass. I am thinking about purchasing an Ibanez sr305b sometime soon. that or an Ibanez sr505.

Absolutely the BTB Prestiges, yes, when they were actually made in Japan and not Indonesia (the Premium line). I once had an '02 1005e, missed it ever since (sold because it was BEATEN UP), and now lucked out finding a NOS one exactly like I had. I am completely confident that this bass stands toe-to-toe with the best boutique basses anywhere...it's that good of a bass. I've owned and played over 70 basses, including ones at NAMM, and this is the top of the mountain, imo. My BTB also had a neck that, after the initial adjustment, never ever moved in the 3 1/2 years of ownership.

The SR series Basses are a very good Bass, as others have said, this thing is light and the neck is fast and thin. I first played an SR800 in a project band that a couple of put together when stationed in Honduras (back in the early '90s). I just picked up an SR500, and love the weight (uber light)!! First gig is this Saturday (tomorrow) with it. If you get the chance, look at Ibanez's website ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed]) and be overwhelmed, too many choices.

I love the srs.
After 3 back surgeries the sr505 was great..feather light played awesome.
I also love the narrow spacing..some dont, but for a fiver I just can't do the 'fender 'spacing.

I'm now jonsin for the Sr 805 in amber...Delicious.

I'm an SR guy. I started with an EX405 around 1988. Got a SR 800 in 1997. Just recently upgraded to an SR5000 Prestige model. Super sweet. A little on the high end side but amazing bass. I love Ibanez, and have been playing them for 37 years. All I've played have been great. Ibanez makes great quality in all price ranges.
