Off topic, but I've started playing with a new jam group (working on banjo, rather than playing bass.) These guys are SO tied to their tablets in a way I've never encountered before. At the start of every song, there is a cluster f___ of people asking for codes and sending chords to each other. Of ocurse, what is crazy (to me) is that 99% of the songs are not so complicated that it would be insufficient for the leader to simply say, "Basically 1/4/5 in A, but the odd chord is a B minor."
Curious to see an entire roomful of pickers so wedded to their tablets and, as a result, NOT learning to read the leader's chord shapes or figure out changes by ear. Different strokes.
