My 9 string has 17mm string spacing at the bridge, and the treble strings group up a bit tighter at the nut in comparison to the spacing of the bass strings at the nut.
Yes, it looks like a nice hipshot?
What is the tunning and scale?

NO PROBLEM!!! hahahah
I like both designs, headless or not. The "big problem" with a big ERB with head is the balance... with a 9 string (like yours) in no too, too bad... but with a 12 string.... well, let me know howś yours.

I really like the headless version too!I never played a headless before though, should still play the same, but I dont know about stringing them bad boys up.
Yeah, I hear you about the possible balance issues on such massive necks. Would you like to entertain the idea of possibly placing a countersink type straplock on the back of the basses neck? Placing it somewhere like by the heel, but high enough to get at the neck-dive issue? If it were a straplock type it wouldnt pop off and it can be placed to the left or right enough to where your left thumb wont bump into it????
You know, I missed this thread entirely due to computer downtime and "life gets in the way" type events. Thanks to everyone for your kind words... I *do* love that beech Wal, but I gotta tell you, I am so in love with my Dingwall Prima that the Wals are spending a lot of time in their cases right now.We could have a whole new thread entitled, "Post Your Favourite Oddio Wal" - the guy's got about 6
!!!! That's about 5% of the current world's supply
.
I'm not really jealous, BTW.
I have to nominate Eggman's BFR Bongo with the solid rosewood neck. I think it's a knockout!

After wasting an evening reading through this entire thread, I have come to the conclusion that, by the amount of nominations/ positive comments received, the
Markus Orange Lakland
and the BurningSkies Rastaburst
are in a dead heat for the position of most beautifullest bass on talkbass, with the Lakland having a slight edge.
