If you use solely the octave down so no original signal in it for a synthy tone then apparently the EBS is great at this.

Apparently if you get a Japanese one it tracks 10x better than the later Taiwanese ones. Same as how the EBS and MXR analogue octavers track 10x better than Japanese OC-2s.
TBH if you pay about 200 quid for an octaver you'll find it will track even the subsonic mating calls of whales, at least in the promotional video. OC-2s are **** for that sort of thing.
