I like the Black. I see that Clear is winning. Personally I hate clear pickguards. Better off just not having anything. How much does it actually protect? It's more cosmetic than anything.
I voted clear. I thought about a clear guard for my SBMM SS, but decided it could just do without one. Need to get a bit darker paint than what I initially used for the screws, but it’s ok for now

That Blueburst finish is beautiful OP! Here's my opinion from favorite to least favorite:
1. White pearl (I voted for this one)
2. Clear (close second)
3. White (safe and boring option - better than black)
4. Black (don't do this one - it detracts from the beautiful finish)

All different shades of good. Here's how i'd rate them.
1.White Pearloid
2. Black
3. Clear
4. White

I'll throw out a suggestion outside the options...black pearloid. Thats what I went with on my classic white. I'd probably keep the clear. Sale the other three and go with the black pearl.

I voted clear because i think it's the most unique. But the more i look at the pictures the more i think other colors would be better.
The pearl white looks class, you can never miss with that type of pickguard.
The black one seems to put the gradient more in evidence than the white ones... although it hides most of it, it makes the lighter blue Pop!

Like some already mentioned, I'd be curious to see what a Black Pearloid would look like...

Each one has its advantages. Didn't initially like the black but it does tie in the neck dots well. However, such a nice color, just do without a guard unless you are a heavy hitter/sweater. My personal fav is pearl on blue but you do loose the fade.
