best pickups to replace for Washburn T24 bass

So i just bought a washburn t24 for 300 bucks from someone on ebay and am really anxious to get it cause ive only heard and read great things about the bass. my question is, i see a bunch of people saying switching to a set of emg pickups will really enhance the noise quality, and another group of people saying most pickups don't fit the washburn t24, so whats the best/highest quality pick ups i can use to replace on my soon to be wahsburn? and how much do you think itd cost to have them replaced. any and all help would be appreciated!
(if its at all helpful im a flea(rhcp) nut and play all of his stuff religiously and always try to stay close to his tone and playing style)

The Washburn T24s that popped up on my Google image search mostly show a 4 string neck through bass with OEM jazz bass styled pickups. So it would appear any replacement pickups for Fender jazz bass should fit without routing, but you should measure the existing pickups to be sure. But I wouldn't worry about replacing the pickups right away...get the bass and play it for a few weeks. See how you like the sound. "EMG pickups" is rather vague as EMG makes a full line of pickups, both active and passive, although EMG is most well-known for their active pickups. Active pickups sound different from standard passive pickups, whether that difference is what you're looking for is a matter of personal preference.

People that like active pickups say they're "bright" "clear" "hi-fi", people that don't like them say they're "cold" or "sterile" sounding. Learn what you're getting into before spending time and $$$ upgrading your bass.

oh i planned on sitting down with it for a few weeks and playing with it stock, but i do have a sterling sub 4 musicman with active pick ups that i loooove so i have a feeling im gonna want to switch them to active pick ups at some point but ill definitely spend some time with it once it arrives. If i did wanna change them to emg active pickups, think you could shoot me a link for a recommended pair? thanks for answering my question so fast btw
