best place to get road cases?

i agree on going used. brands include, SKB, Anvil, Calzone etc.

write down the dimensions of your 8x8 so that you can look for a used case that would fit it best. if you can't find an exact size case you could always get a slightly bigger one and add more protective foam inside the case.

more importantly, why do you feel you need a case for your cabinet? you're cabinet is essentially a protective case for your speakers, so you'd be protecting a protective case. unless you are adamant on keeping the cosmetic condition of your cabinet pristine, i see no reason to put a cabinet in a case. for all i know, you could be in a touring band who plays every night and needs this kind of protection, but you haven't filled out your profile so i can't tell.

i don't think all Ampeg cabinets come with this, but my 2x15 has chicken wire stapled to the back of the front grill for added protection. It would take a lot to pierce this defense and destroy my speakers. If you're interested, this could be a very cost effective way to protect your speakers.

S-Case Co.

Awesome guys, they make awesome cases for the cheapest prices anywhere. No corners cut, either.

(832)858-2273 Call Rudy and tell him what you are looking for and the price you are looking to spend. I'm sure you will be able to work something out with him.

Also, when you call tell him Heath from American Low Life sent you.

cause the ampeg 8x8s are pretty rare and id rather keep it in good condition. gigging regularly will strip the tolex off my cabs within a year heh.
