im looking to get some plug ins for my pro tools set up, but i dont want to spend a lot of money. whats a good one for delay/reverb and/or pitch shifting/phase/flange? mostly gonna use it for background noise and vocals, as my pedals take care of the actual effects on my guitar. cheers

cycling 74 stuff is good and cheap. I really like the sonalkisis stuff but i think its a little pricey.
The Cycling 74 stuff runs on a Pluggo Runtime shell, which has always been a bit buggy on my DAW (PT7.1). It's a shame because the Tritone Digital EQs (same pluggo shell) are works of freakin' genius. The best "color" EQs I have ever used. They add a warmth and smooth clarity I didn't think was possible in digital recording.
As far as I know Sonalksis doesn't make delay or modulation plug-ins. Great clean EQs and compressors though.

i checked out the massey plug-ins, and im interested, and they are dirt cheap, but.... how is the quality? they have to be cheap for a reason right? or is it just an overlooked company who still makes great products? im hoping for the latter. cheers
There are non-expiring demos of all the Massey plugs on their website.
I definitely would not say they are overlooked. There are a couple of pretty long threads about Massey's work on the gearslutz forum and other places.
Rumour has it a reverb is in the works.
Many say the massey stuff is as good as just about anything out there.
It's not a big company, just a guy who still likes to code stuff when he has the time that used to work at digidesign and the digi acquired trillium labs.
The trials are fully functioning... they just don't save your settings.

pro tools m-powered in a pc( sucks, wish i had a mac), and an m-audio interface. thats about it. were recording in our 12x12 practice space, and dont have the greatest mics, but it sounds pretty good so far.
