Best rig for a Stingray?

I know a sterling is not the same but my sterling songs great through my Gk 700RB-2 and SWR Goliath III. some really nice grit and growl tones. As well as great clear tones.

My stingrays have sounded excellent for all purpose and rock with

Aguilar DB cabs and heads

Mesa all the way

Bergantino cabinets - not the shallow ones

Not so bad with eden and never tried gk.

Played them with accuugroove, EA, and epifani. - Not so appropriate for the ray IMO
I would think same goes for demeter - a bit too hi-fi and not beefy enough.
I don't think that stingrays sound good out of ampeg fridges w/ svt heads - muddy to my ears.

I think my 'ray sounds great through my SVT-CL with the sealed Ampeg 410.
I also think my friend's 'ray sounds great through his 4-pro and the 810.

I'm surprised that nobody really spoke up for SWR, though. I think SWR stuff compliments the stingray the best (I use Ampeg because of the kind of music I play).

There's a guy in the studios where I practice that plays the SM900 and the SWR 810 and his stingray sounds awesome through it.

I've had the ray with both the sm900 (pre fender) and the 6x10 - not better than aguilar, mesa, eden, or bergantino. IMO of course

Another key factor is what you're playing, IMO. Some of my favorite Stingray tones were done through roaring Ampeg SVT-CL/810E rigs. But I'm a rock/metal kind of guy.

The same rig isn't as adequate for a good Stingray slap tone, IMO. But I don't slap, so...

Mesa Titan V12 and matching 4x12. Pure rock heaven. Punchy enough for slap or mellow enough for fretless.

I think it's more of a question of personal tonal tastes.
IMO the StingRay sounds great with just about any decent sounding bass system.
