Best string for a really present, full and smooth jazz bass sound

Alright guys,
So I'm pretty new to the jazz bass thing. Having always playing P bass, I just played stainless rounds to help get more top end.

With my j bass however, the "fullness" is more lacking, and there are alot of finger noises due to the extended middle- top end on the j p/us.

What string would minimize string noises, have a nice, full punch, and will slice through the mix like a hot knife through butter? With respect to the jazz of course!

I was interested in nylon wounds because they are supposed to be like dead roundwounds, any opinions? From what I have heard the fenders are really bad. Would the labellas be a good option for my need? Remember, presence in a full mix is totally necessary!
