Double Bass Best strings to use for Rockabilly

setting up a bass just to learn and play Rockabilly. I’m looking for recommendations. I’m researching gut, nylons. Any inputs and guidance would be greatly appreciated. I plan to play bluegrass and rockabilly
Thanks
Chuck

You'll get lots and lots of recommendations and they're all worth while considering...

I'll start out with what I'm using:

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed] E and A and Superior BassWorks Deluxe "Dirty Gut" D and G.

Chosen for tone and playing comfort. I play a mix of roots genre, mostly pizz/slap with a bit of arco, acoustic and amped.

Best of luck making your selections!
