Best tuner in the $100-150 range?

Like Fishtx said about the intonation, you can get it dead on with the Turbo. I've used strobes before, the huge ones that we had in high school band, and the Turbo is even more accurate. This is off topic, but here is what happened on one occassion. After setting our sound up, we started getting some annoying frequency feedback, and instead of trying to trace it down with our 31 band eq, I just turned on my Turbo and it nailed the problem frequency, which we promptly tuned out with our eq. So that day my Turbo got accolades from all the band for being able to quickly dial out the problem freq.

OK, I know, I just had to tell that story somewhere, and this seems like the perfect place with all the flowers going out to Turbo. It has really been very useful for me, especially setting intonation. Glad to hear you got one.

It's pretty interesting.

Years ago, my dream tuner was a Boss TU-12, but I was stuck with a Sabine ST-1000. Eventually I got an Arion Stage Tuner. At that time, that thing was the cat's pajamas, it was a pedal that muted when you tuned. It was awesome for it's time- but it had drawbacks- you couldn't tune to half steps, it was cheap plastic, the battery cover always fell off, the display was kind of set off to the side, so on a really dark stage it was difficult to tell how off you were. So I got a TU-12 at that point. Of course this was about a month before I found out about the Boss TU-2.

I've had a Boss TU-2 for the past 13 years or so, and in that time it's been recognized as a great tuner, with widespread use for most of that time. Last year, I heard about the Korg Pitchblack- which is supposed to be a "better" tuner than the Boss, and now with the Turbo Tuner- I don't know how much farther tuner technology can go (I'm sure that was thought about with any of the other top of the line tuners in the past), but this new crop of tuners is really something to behold.

Korg DTR-1000 is worth it's weight in Gold, I have 2 and you will never need another rack tuner. I can tune from 20 ft. easily. Fender makes an in line stomp box strobe tuner that is cheap, reliable, accurate and built like tank, I carry it with me just in case I play a gig w/o one of my racks.
