Best wireless?

I'm shopping wireless systems again. I've had the X2 and had drop-out problems. What is the best?

I'm reading about these now:
Shure

Sennheiser

I have heard nothing but good about the X2. I think people speak well of the Shure as well the Sennheiser.

You can't beat the X2 for the price. I will say the battery life is not very good, and when the batteries start to go so does your tone. I have used everything for shure,AKG, and Sennheiser. And hands down the best one I found was the new Sennheiser G3. Its pricey but no drop outs, no loss of tone, and the sound is flawless. Its also rack mountable, has a cord emulator, a built in Eq, and a very accurate tuner. I love it!!!

Which X2 were you using? The standard model?

I guess so. I don't think Line 6 owned it back then (2 years?). The receiver was small enough to go on a pedal board.

Sennheiser has some connection with the old X-wire system I believe. It is supposed to be very good. It may have been the "new thing" I think if the X2 stuff (which is cheaper) hadn't come out when it did.

Sennhieser all the way. AA batteries will save you a ton, also have metal packs. Line 6 are to fragile. Dont skimp on this purchase.

The X2 hasn't let me down yet,in 2 years of regular use. Note that the reciever will eat batteries like crazy though. I mounted mine on my pedalboard and have only had to replace the trasmitter batteries (usually get 2-3 nights out of one). For the price it can't hurt.
