I haven’t tried it that way but it has both 1/4” out and xlr out so I don’t see why not.

yes 100% right! i just try something using my sent on interface and i was been amazed
i try to mix 2 channels one bass > DI
and the other Di sent> tech 21 driver with plenty of distortion > return to the other channel
amazing much better than using parallel out from sansamp to interface's di

Hello. Maybe I misunderstand, but I thought that the DI was supposed to be the huge sound.
A very good DI used properly for recording should let you capture a "larger than life" image of the instrument's sound. If when you monitor that sound before it is recorded, it does not sound "huge" to you, then change either your bass, and/or your cables' length and type, and/or your DI.
My reading of your comments makes me think that the DI in the Audient box has a clean, but clinical sound. That is about what I expect from the current state of affordable audio interfaces. I use a Presonus interface, which sounds clean, flat, quiet... boring and not musical, really. But it lets me capture the analog source sound accurately enough, so I can master it in the box later to restore the dynamics, timbre, and spatial character I know the sound had originally. It's the best I can do for now.
As at least one other person said here (sorry, I only skimmed the thread), "tone shaping" is a different task. That work can be done before a DI, which greatly changes the DI's role in my opinion; or it can be done after the DI, during either recording (fosters commitment) or mixing (enables options).
For use with bass guitar, I like the Aguilar DB 900 DI with a good vintage tube in it, of which I own two. Long out of production, there happens to be one for sale on Reverb right now (I have no affiliation with the seller).
Either way you go, good luck with your quest. I know it ain't easy.

Yes i like the di sound of my interface but i saw an oppurtunity to take eden in very good price and i wanted to make an overall improvement to my sound and no making my sound from the plugins after recording! So you know how these things are!
I think that eden is very very good preamp and i can make almost every clean sound that i want! let's see how long its gonna take until i will make up my mind again

Until you save up for that just use a sausage fastener plugin. Seriously theres no hardware under like $1500 that's better than a plugin..

If you're going for the FAT bass tone in modern country, I hear the Fat Boy preamp is pretty good with that baked in vibe. A bit above your budget. I use a Noble tube preamp/DI and from what they say, it's cleaner than a Fat Boy. The tone is plenty fat for me -- before it's ready for the song, I need to put it on a diet with a High Pass Filter!

I think that i have found a very all around preamp at 300$ that a plugin at these money cant touch! it can be fat and hi-fi and more ..very tweakable
