Beware of the Emo Cult

Man I love this quote.

While I personally laugh at Emo as a silly, and artificially angst ridden genre of music that has no appeal to me, nor should it at my age of 54, I'd hardly worry about it causing genetic damage. I hope the more clear minded people over their stand up to the witch hunting bullies behind the badges. Those are the folks who are the real danger to their culture and nation.
Emo is certainly geared towards a newer generation of youth culture, making it's own mark in it's time and place in history. There was angst ridden music that appealed to the youth culture of my day and time, that is now in the past. Obviously my worries and concerns are of a different kind in my older years than what they were in my youth. Hence songs of youthful angst and emotional pain don't happen to appeal to me in the same way they would have when I was young. I will say that I remember such feelings and have empathy for young people.
Maybe old folks like me could come up with songs about the angst of higher property taxes, how the economy is ruining our retirement accounts, and that we don't get along with the idiots that our sons or daughters married, and of course the fear of the nursing home looming on the not so distant horizon.
Older age angst is different. Maybe it needs a pop music genre of it's own. We can call it Curmudgeo.

is it bad that i lol'ed at this? I mean yes i know it's bad people are getting arrested for what kind of music they listen to but if you see it like i do. " cop arrest emo kids for being emo", it's kinda funny. Yeah im a horrible person i know.

Look at emo hair. Clearly there has been some altering to their genetic code because it grows sideways and parts from completely unnatural places on the head.

Let us not forget the sagging, yet skinny jeans. Obviously the genetic damage has already begun. Have you seen them "dance"? I swear to gods if one of those kids grazes me whilst tard dancing, I'm gonna leave him bleeding on the floor of the pit.
Armenia is south of the Caucasus, so technically I think it's part of the Middle East. Quibble. Anyway, looks like Soviet habits die hard. "Corrupting western influence" indeed.
Part of me screams yes.....and that the time of the emu is finally coming to an end. But then the other part says "***?!" Arresting people for the music they listen to? I mean, yeah they have crappy taste but still. Let them be sad and cry. Let them cut themselves.
The girl on the left in the picture from that story isn't an emo girl. She's cute, she's smiling and her hair isn't on backwards.

@jswingchun: Yeah she is cute. And happy. With no signs of self inflicted cuts. Not an emu. Look at the short hair though. Happy? Hmm.
EDIT: I think it's because she has a noncomformist style of dressing by their standards that adds her as one of the emus in their eyes. Double belt+ripped jeans ect.
