Forgive my ignorance, but how do you run effects to the high end only on a GK 800rb? Assuming you are using only one amp, of course. I have an old 800rb and would love to do this, but there is only one input jack. Would I need to plug effects into the loop instead of before the amp (which is my current setup)?
We may have a generation issue here..
Biamping was the dealio in the early 90s..
There is a version (I do not know the exact model or revision).. that smartly put like 200 watts to low end and 100 to high end... it was an OK amp... I had one then quickly moved it when I found a Megabass.
A true biamp head requires reading the manual as they normally have so many little nuances to make them sound good.
In a PA spectrum, the cool thing is a sound crew can quickly help you dial it in..
I've had times where I've run my single 15 at front and middle of stage (between subs) and then a 2-10 on stage
Gives me enough to reference without blowing out the band.
With some creativity there are some very cool uses..
Probably not the right solution if you're a Pbass and SVT type dude.

I'm sorry for not knowing the exact GK head I had --- didn't last long as I upgraded.
