Bi-amping

Hey guys, i have always been curious about bi-amping (No pun intended). I would like to know how to do this, because i plan to use a rig where i am blending a clean sound on one, and a distorted signal on the other. It will have 2 different amps and sets of cabs. One for the clean, and one for distortion. Any descriptions/ tutorials on how to do it and stuff would be nice. If you have pictures along with it, that'd be even better.

That's not bi-amping, it's using two amps. Use a bass amp and speakers for clean, a small guitar amp and speakers for dirty.

But how do i get them connected so that the sound from the bass is coming through both of them simultaneously?

Put the speakers together and use an Paralooper or ABY box. I'd recommend a paralooper with a high pass on one signal so you get the guitar signal high passed.

i just had a box made for me by peptone. it is very nice true bypass. $50. but that is what you need, an ABY switch. sending one signal to two amps

ABY box is what i need. Thanks. Can you still run effect boxes in a chain with it?

absolutely. send a different effect or chain of to each amp. i also have a nick greer third dimension i use for my other band. it splits one signal into 3. i use 3 separate rigs and 3 different boxes. a nice one will cost you a few bucks.its nice to have an amp on each side of the stage. or in my case a complete wall of sound

I do something similar and just go out both sides of a stereo multi effects box.
