soo a TBer is holding a big muff bass for me.... its used he was selling it..a little out of my pricerange... but i asked if $50would be ok.. would that bea resonable price? its my first bass pedal... and all u told me thats what i needed so im taking your advice.... had some very kind offers :) but non of them really suited my tast it feels like... and also an offer to get my wah pedal fixed for free..... you know..... talkbass members r a diffrent breed it feels like.... i havent been a member here for a long time..i dont really post much... but everybody here seems way more genorus and helpful then guitarist on guitar forums...

and id like to say thank u to everybody for it.

now back to the problem at hand... yall think $50 is a fair offer on a used big bass muff?

$50 for one of these is fair if you ask me.
And you can always move it for what you paid for it if you don't like it.

I picked mine up for about $60 on a scratch 'n' dent special here in the UK because the cardboard box got scuffed in the warehouse. I reckon you should be able to find a similar deal... $50 seems a little steep for 'just another 2nd hand EHX pedal'.

There's always so much hate for this pedal. It REALLY isn't that bad. I hate using capitals and shouting on forums, but seriously people bad mouth it unfairly.

$50 is a very reasonable deal on this pedal. It's not a boutique muff clone and yes there are better fuzzes out there but it is a damn sight more reliable than a proper Russian muff, more pedal board friendly and it is much cheaper.

I used one live for over 3 years, never a single problem and it sounds great in a band mix. My old original sovtek muff did not fair so well.

+1

I think it's fair to say that TB's hatred of the BBM is sort of the opposite of the internet's fascination with bacon. Yeah, bacon is good but it's not THAT good.

That said, I own, use, and enjoy this pedal. I can see where it would lose it's usefulness in a large band but it's wonderful in a 3-piece.
