No. His only distortion pedals include a Pro Co RAT (which is used on H., and is also the key behind his signature grit on his clean on), a Tech 21 Sansamp GT2 (used for almost every other distorted effect), and more recently, a Coloursound Tonebender (for Jambi).
I'm pretty sure it was actually a ProCo Turbo Rat, to be specific. Correct on the other two. He also used a Foxx Fuzz Wah for The Pot.
Oh yeah. I forgot about the Fuzz/wah.
I think I also read somewhere that he may have used a Crowther Prunes and Custard one time.

You could use a Big Muff for "H," but it wouldn't sound entirely right.
Other than that, you won't find any use for it in covering Tool songs.

I've played a Turbo Rat and a Little Big Muff, and I think they are very different. The Muff to me has always had a smooth, warm fuzz tone, whereas I always found the Turbo Rat to much harsher and colder.
I think it does a good job on Jambi. At least mine does... .then again, IME, no two Muff's have sounded the same.

Yeah, for that over-the-top fuzzy distortion, it'll do the trick nicely. But for overdrive... tough luck - that's not what the Big Muff is for.
I think anyone trying to use a Muff for overdrive must not be corresponding the name of the damn thing to the sound it has...
