Bike commuting with bass

a short song I wrote with my bass about bike commuting with a bass

Love that song (and as an avid cyclist myself, I dig the inspiration).

I think what caught me most is... is your Modulus fretted or lined fretless? Because if it's fretted, that fretless "mwah" sound you got from it is crazy impressive. And it's crazy how so many people think Modulus basses sound "sterile" or whatever, but here it's warm, woody, and has a sweet mwah.

Thank you, it's a fretted bass. I actually do play fretless 80% of the time though,

Very nice groove. I could listen to this on a loop while riding my bike with my bass on my back in nice weather. It has the right vibe.

50 years ago I would carry my Fender P in a HSC on my 10 speed to lessons, not easy.

At first I used a Mono (M80?), but they're a little bulky and heavy for longer rides. For the last few years I've just used the Protec that came with one of my basses. It's a lot lighter and water resistant enough for light rain. If it's raining hard I just wrap my bass in a large garbage bag and put that inside of the case.

Haha sounds great!

About 20 years ago I regular biked to big band rehearsals on campus with a bass in a gig back on my back, and a GK200MB strapped onto a rack on the back of the bike.
Worked well as long as a) tires had sufficient air and b) it wasn't raining.
