Weird question. From everything I read, I am interested in a Birdsong Corto but have never seen one. Does anyone live in the Phila PA area that would allow me to stop by and play theirs ?

I have a Birdsong Hy5 that I really love.I wish I lived closer to you. You can contact Scott and have him send you a cd of what the different basses sound like. That is what I did.

I'm nervous about the 14" radius.
I have a full 34" scale Pbass with a 12" neck radius. The strings are a little wider at bridge than my Jazz. Not sure if it's the wider strings at bridge or 12" radius that bother me.
Will a 14" radius on a 31" scale be no big deal ??
I think I am a 9.5" radius guy.
Which is why I'd like to play one before ordering.

The string spacing and fingerboard radius are not directly related. They are two separate parameters.

Agreed. My recent purchase of a P (with Jazz neck) has wider string spacing at bridge and 12" radius compared to my USA Jazz with tighter strings and 9.5" radius.
I don't like playing the P and wondering if it's the spacing or radius or most likely a combination of both. The Birdsong is 14". How will it feel compared to my Jazz.
I will contact Birdsong but ... if someone lived within an hour, I'd love to take a ride and feel for myself.

Bought a BIRDSONG Cbass. Played my first gig with it. Loved the feel and sound.
Seems like 1 pickup and 1 tone control is all I need after all
