Birdsongs?

Anyone here own one? They seem like really interesting basses for short scales and I was wondering, for those who own them; how do they sound for a short scale? It's kind of hard to find information on these basses, even with the search and google.

If you check the Birdsong website I think there are some sound clips. There are also a few videos on youtube. The bass player from My Morning Jacket plays a Fusion and I believe therr are a couple of clips of him playing it on youtube.

Mine is in production so I haven't heard it yet ;)

I don't know if sarcasm is implied, but if so the only things that came up were club threads and for sale threads, which are of no use to my concerns as I already understand the cosmetic features of the bass. Google searches only brought up the actual site or that one youtube video of what I think is called the "fusion" model and those my morning jacket videos.

The club threads have a good bit of discussion - it's not just "I have one, can I have my club number" like you get in a lot of threads. That said - they may not have had the information you were looking for. Feel free to pop your head into the current club thread and ask any questions you might have - that way, a lot more Birdsong owners are likely to see it/receive notification.

Regarding the Birdsong sound - versatile, more "solid-body-sounding" than a Danelectro. I've compared them to both Gibson (original and reissue) and Epiphone SG-body basses (not as boomy as the former, vastly superior to the latter), several violin basses (there is one Birdsong owner who also has/plays an Epiphone Beatle bass, so he's a better source of info for those), and while I love the Danelectro longhorn and Mustang reissues, the tone is significantly fuller and more balanced.

There! Have I used enough abstract "tone buzz words"?

Harmony Central has reviews for Cortobasses, CortoClassics (old 1 pickup model), Sadhanas, Hy-5s, Cortofusion/Fusion, and some CortoCustoms. Nothing new has come up in a while.

Seriously, I hope the links we shared helped. If they did not maybe you should go to the Birdsong Club and ask specific questions. Others have done this successfully.

I was going to mention CTbass&birdsong, but you turned up already.

I swear you have more birdsongs than the rest of the world combined, so i think you're probably the guy to talk to regarding them.
