I got a set for my SX 6 string jazz to replace the factory lead core strings. Doubled the output, halved the Geddy-like twang and upper mid growl. Now it has a more low-mid focused tone, but I miss the Geddy-twang. The odd sticky-smooth sensation goes away after a few hours playing time. Tuning stability is so much better, now I can avoid upgrading the tuners.
I'll have to dial my amp in for these things a little better. I'm getting a really nice sound out of these things, but I want to get *my* sound. if you know what I mean.
