black nylon flatwound for 6strings

LaBella makes a six string black tapewound set. But, what I would do is order the 5 string sets from Carvin, and then order single hgih C strings from Just Strings. It turned out to be much cheaper, and it's never bad to have a spare high C string (not that I ever needed it).

cool- thanks
i didn't find that rotosound- are you sure they're black nylon? i've played the stock strings from a carvin bass and i didn't like them very much. i've tried the fender ones and i like those so now i'm going to try rotosound and i'll try to get my hands on a set of the labella.

thanks a lot

Yes. Just get the RS885LD set + the 50 thinner string for your high C and you have a 6 string set.

Or you could just get their 6-string tapewound set :p

Man, I couln't imagine having a 50 C-string. My D-string is a 51

The LaBella 6-string set has a much more 'standard' 29 for the C

I like the Status-Graphite tapewounds best, but they don't make a C-string :(

They may have a larger diameter, but they're not heavier than your average equivalent lesser steel gauge. My G string is a .060, but it feels like the average .045

i think the Labella's are great. it's all i use on my electric. they are awesome for the fingerboard, and i think you can get a very wide range of tones if you play with your EQ a little. the only downside is that they have a slight decrease in output as opposed to a solid steel string. but the tone is where it's at:D
