Blacktop P and J Youtube demos

Maybe I am just impatiant, but why are there no Youtube demos of the blacktop basses yet. With these radical changes to the electronics on both the P and J, I thought there would be demos all over the place by now.:(

Is anyone in the process of doing some???:hyper:

I went into GC today and there were no black tops. I asked the genius at the door on the way out and he looked at me like I had 2 heads. Said he never heard of them. I told him that GC sells them for $499 and they are released.

He demonstrated his IQ with another facial expression.

I'm really waiting for a review or sound demo too.
There is ONE video on the P, but none on the J.

I am gassing for a J very much, but there seems to be no soundclips or videos available.

Please, if anyone here has a Blackktop J, I'd be very grateful for a few basic soundclip. My main Question: How close is the neck PU to the traditional P-Sound??

I am basically looking for a jazz neck with a P sound... So I am very intrested in this one.

Could be he isn't a bass player. And the guy is there to check receipts and items coming in, it is hardly reasonable to expect him to be up to date on products. Of course IMO

I did a brief vid on YouTube. Its the blacktop P . Was brief , very brief as I had just got it and it was late at night after a long day at work. I've been really busy at work and playing and have not been keeping up here so...... I did do a follow up and better review of the bass but have not uploaded it yet. Why? Well as I saw there was a comment about sound quality and I figured that doing it on my iPhone was of no justice to the bass. As far as putting up good quality tracks. Well let's just say I am having technical difficulties as my software has been corrupted due to my 5 year old playing with my laptop.
It's a great bass ! However after a month the shine has worn off and it's not getting any use. Only because I reach for my jazz bass every time.
Again I must say that the build quality of these basses are great and for the price point .... I say keep up the good work !

Thanks for reading.
Toby.

That is the funniest thing...

"...I asked the genius at the front door..."

Well, did you go ask the live sound guys? How about the vintage guitar guy? When you go to a restaurant, do you ask the hostess about the menu, or the waiter?

Maybe, just maybe, you should have asked someone in the bass department........
