Its not heavy at all. Those are screw on wings made of pine. Bass is crazy liteweight.

It does seem to be just a little more comfortable playing it seated.
The longer horn on top might help with ballance. I'm going to put them on and just see how it feels .If its good, I've got other original ideas for wings to actually complement the design. This was just a (what if )

I think it would be better if you rounded the bottom as well to make it a little longer and help with its aspect ratio.

Honestly I think it's just time to start working on the next bass... You could modify the crap out of this thing forever, but why not put your crazy ideas to new action... personally, I want to see what you come up with next...
