Blew up a used Eden WT800

So I purchased a used Eden wt800 for the evil GC. 2005 model with speakons but still only bridgeable to 8 ohms. Got it home and found that someone had pulled the fuse and reinstalled it upside down. Fixed that and everything was great for about ten minutes then I thumped an open E and pop the magic smoke come a leaking out the top . OH NO I said . Unplugged it all and returned it to GC . Before I did I opened it up and it seems like one of the caps on the power module blew and a resister is smoked black. They let me return it no issue and I ordered another used one this one is an original A with bannana clips. I never tried my cab after and am hoping I didn't do any damage since it's about one week old DNA 4x10.

Yes p5string that is the fuse by the 3 prong power cord. I assume now seeing what happened that the fuse blew the last owner took out the spare then put in it upside down. Turned it on and thought he damaged it so traded it in at gc who don't know a broken amp from a good one . Then ten minutes at full metal practice after fuse installed correctly and boom the true issue of a bad cap shows up and smoke comes a leaking out. The other used one is a 1997 hand made in the USA .

I used to have a USA made wt800B and the caps blew in it as well. Fwiw I haven't heard of as many problems with the china made Eden amps as the USA made ones. I have a USA made Wt1205 now and a china made wtx500 and to be honest the wtx has pretty much all the tone I can get from the 1205 just less headroom. Love both amps. Hope the new 800 works out well mate!
