Evan Williams Single Barrel is fantastic, especially when you consider the price. But regular Evan Williams...uh...I'll pass.

I have just noticed that it is exceptionally lightweight - wanted to see how that translated into actual lbs.

It is easily the best playing bass that I have. The 32 inch scale was pretty easy to get used to and it really just plays effortlessly.

The sound is pretty good as well. It is passive and has a simple vol / tone setup with a switch for off/normal/treble cut. I think that it is voiced a little "darker" than my other basses but a fresh set of DR High Beams gave her a little extra zing that I was looking for.

Blanton’s is my favorite bourbon, hands down. I even like it better than PVW. Unfortunately, I can’t find it anywhere. I was in Louisville, KY for Bourbon and Beyond this year and couldn’t even find it there!

I’ve had to switch to 1792 single barrel, Woodford Reserve, or the Weller 12 year. If anyone has the scoop on where I can find Blanton’s I’d be appreciative.

I used to see Blanton's on the shelf all the time, and then all of a sudden it disappeared. I'm told that a good part of the reason for this is that a bottle of Blanton's appeared prominently in the movie John Wick.

Weller 12 is impossible to find. I haven't seen a bottle on the shelf in 2 years.

I’ve been lucky the last few years on those 12’s. But you are right they are never on the shelves. Thank god for back room access.

I have realized building relationships with your local liquor store results a lot more opportunities for the hard to find bottles.
