Blues songs, Tips for duo gigs?

Hi peeps,

Long time since I was around here, however, I have full confidence in the common competence in here and I need some advice from ya'll!

Me and a buddy are about to put together a blues duo for doing gigs at pubs and smaller places (me on bass/ac. guitar and he on vocals ac. guitar), and I'd love to get all your "must haves" for the playlist, just remember that the songs need to work out well on 2 ac. guitars or 1 ac. and electric bass (ie. no steve ray vaughn super solo songs), so in the genre of acoustic blues it is then!

I don't think folks are disinterested persay, I just think that the obvious answers are obvious. Most any blues tune can be tweaked to work with a duo.

Tell what I'd do..... Get ahold of all the Hot Tuna stuff that you can. I consider them to be the epitome of what a blues duo can do.

My friend Chris and I do a blues duo on open mike nights, guitar and bass. Most of the old Muddy Waters songs are easily adaptable, and we do some Siegel-Schwall tunes. Jimmy Reed tunes are another good source. We have alot of fun with it, hope you do too.
