It's well known that it just doesn't work. It is impossible for a simple human to compensate for that kind of delay. Organist can't play - it just doesn't work! Especially when you mix in a choir or orchestra.
Orchestras don't by themselves. There could be 40ft between some players. No way could they play with this kind of latency.
There's been some attempts to use a singer on stage with a pipe organ or orchesta some distance away. Something called an Opera. No way could this work.
