Bob Dylan's Bassist

Discussion in 'Bassists [BG]' started by Jazz Lover, Jul 14, 2005.

  1. I had the distinct pleasure of watching Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson play at Ray Winder Field in Little Rock a couple of weeks ago. Bob's band was undeniably great and I loved that the bass player and drummer were calling the shots. I went to Bob's website and to my dismay I could not find any information on his touring band. Does anyone know who the bassist, and the rest of the band, is or where I can find the information online? Thanks.

Unless he's changed the lineup recently Tony Garnier is on bass....been with him for years, used to be in Asleep at the Wheel before that.

Stu Kimball is one of the guitarists.

That's as much as I can tell you...
  3. As tough as it is to understand Bob's mumblings, it did sound something like Tony. Thanks.
