Bob Nyswonger - The Bears

Don't have Tickled Pink, but I have the first Bucket CD (This Here's Bucket!) and it is truly a big slice of Americana. A little bit folksy, a little bit corny (some lyrics), and sounds like a whole lot of fun in the studio which the listener picks up. (Listen to Tommy's Grocery and you'll understand)

Yes, Bob has some amazing bass lines and some amazing lyrics.

Just had to re-bump this thread after getting a Psychodots CD and Rob Fetters' CDs. Bob is one of the bass damn bass players ever! Seriously, he should be much more well known than he is. Simply outstanding!

Here's my new favorite You Tube video - awesome tune and absolutely kick ass bass playing and bass tone! Bob told me the Danelectro was a prop, this was played on his Jazz Bass Special.

Bob's been rattling my molars since 198..3?..4? Fond memories of the subwoofers getting a good workout at Mabels in Champaign, and my first glimpse of a Clevinger. EUB thru a Marshall? Yea baby!

I remember seeing The Bears at Mabels during this period and Bob was wearing a full tuxedo and sweating his tail off while playing the Clevenger through a big JBL scooped horn with an e-145 15 incher! You could see the cone just PUMPING in and out all night long which was as close as I ever got to any kind of sex.. but hey I'm a gear geek so I still went home fullfilled!
