Bobby Brown Medley- The Sound

I'll play, with the usual IMHO dislaimer. :D

- Cool song selection...nice to hear a Bobby Brown medley without 'My Prerogative,' even though that really is a great song.

- Nice work on the vox side - lead and bg. Not sure of the vibe you're trying to capture, but I did expect a bit more movement.

- I thought 'Every Little Step' was a bit too fast, kinda' choking off some of the syllables.

- You and the keyboard player sound terrific, totally capturing the groove and, to my ears, the essence of the tunes.

- Being totally honest, the drummer is bombastic. Too heavy on the hi-hat during verse grooves, and way too heavy on the cymbals and "Look at me!" in general. More Ricky Lawson, less Dennis Chambers. :ninja: He's obviously got a big pocket, and if he listens a bit more and plays a bit less, you'll have the dance floor packed all night.

I wish you guys lots of success. I still have a big soft spot for my Arizona roots, including "back in the day" when I played many of these tunes in Tucson with Bobby Taylor and the Real Deal. (Man, I'm making myself look really old now.)
