Body help please!

Just finished giving my bass' body a few coats of paint, and it's looking good, but feeling very rough although I did sand it.

What can I do to give my body that new, professional, smooth, almost glassy feeling?

You'll have to tell us what paint you used and how it was applied before we can give much helpful advice. You can get a professional looking gloss finish with paint but it needs to be applied properly, allowed to cure long enough to get hard enough (Godin lets their finishes cure up to 6 months before buffing out to a high gloss) and then buffed out. It's a bit of work but will give a nice result.
