Bogus Website: www.guitarcentro.com?

(looking up Liam Neeson's burner number)
LOLL.... Hey, I was finally able to "pursuade" the "Centro" folks to CANCEL my original order (and refund my CC provider). Of course, only after I said I'd report them (to the business who's domain name they use in their online transactions). Something else I noticed. They still sell Fender "Pawn Shop series" guitars on their website, brand new ones! lower than the prices they sold for 10+ years ago! Wasn't that series discontinued 10 years ago?

Here's the link: fender waterslide decal Just for kicks, I tried throwing 10 of them in my cart just to see what would happen? The website said they were in stock, and immediately available! It asked for my Credit Card to complete the transaction! Their automated cart was ready to take my money... :)

Well, same thing here..... If only I'd done some research..... I bought $35 of decals and I actually received them today, but, like some of the others, they're total junk. Maybe I should stick one of my bass headstocks on my copier. I'm sure they'll turn out nicer than these. Bummer. And yes, I'm watching that bank account. Luckily it's just for buying and selling my instrument stuff. Normally there's a couple hundred in there; no more.
Guess since oldfret is no more, I'll go back to luthierdecals....... but it's hit-and-miss with them.

Actually they ghosted my Credit Card Provider in the end. Fortunately my CCP comped me my money back anyway. I've since had luck with someone on ETSY. It's hard to find a non-laser made decal, as real ones are hard to find, and more expensive. Plus, those laser decals are generally too thin to work with in the end, no matter what technique you use to try to install them.

I wonder if VoodooDecals is any good. Must be in the UK somewhere. I may take a chance, but first I'll do some research, right here on TB.

So I'm still crying that oldfret.com is gone. I was about to order on Guitar centro but thankfully I found this thread. Phewwww!! Thanks guys.

I contacted voodoo decals, they are located in Portugal, and the guy sent me a photo of their '79 Precision Bass decal... I don't know man, the Fender logo looks badly reproduced.

But then, what are our options for refinishes now??? Oldfret.com decals were top notch. Jason disappeared all of a sudden and never replied my email again. :(

Ah yes... OLDFRET.com was the standard bearer! (as I pour one out, in their memory) These days everybody with a printer is selling "decals" on EBay. Unfortunately 90% of them are low quality and literally impossible to work with! I've had better luck buying decals from people on ETSY.

Thanks for your output. Can you point something precise or aren't we allowed?
