Bolt on or Neck through Warwick

The neck on my 2004 Thumb BO 4 was anything but thin. :hmm:

The thing about necks is, it's all tomatoes & tomatoes. What feels thin to me, might feel thick to others.Alot of this is in the individual's hands.
My 2007 stage 2's neck is as thin as any Fender Jazz I had back in the 80's.
IME, it's generally the 5 & sometimes 6 string necks that are described as thick.

I have to disagree with you here. My '92 Streamer's neck was way less chunky than the neck on my '04 Thumb. It had nothing to do with my hands. I thought it was pretty well acknowledged that the Warwick necks after 1998 or so were considerably thicker than the pre-98 models. I've heard a lot of people complain about the thickness of Warwick necks - and not just on the 5 or 6 string models - and hasn't Warwick gone back to producing thinner necks (presumably because of negative feedback)?

Well, yes, that is true.
But the fact of the matter is things feel different in the hands of different people. That's all I was saying. I wasnt saying all the necks have always been the same. I know ALOT of Warwick owners. Some say their thick necked Warwicks feel anything but thick, "in their hands".
Scroll back in this thread & I've told people about what necks were standard, during which periods.
I am most certainly NOT saying what particular necks should feel to you.
It's all much of a muchness, as they say.
btw, the thick, or U profile is still available, as is an extra slim C profile. So there something for everyone.:D

Okay, thanks for clarifying. And hey - enjoy your Spring! It's starting to get chilly 'round these parts...
