Bongo EQ Frequencies?

Did a search but couldn't find anything. Read lots about the Bongo though, and I'm pretty sure that one of these could be my next bass. The one thing I'm really curious about though is the EQ centers for the 4-band preamp...

Bass = 40 Hz
Low Mid = 400 Hz
High Mid = 2.5 KHz
Treble = 6.3 KHz

Wow, that's pretty low, I thought boosting this frequency was pretty much bound to cause muddiness.

Pretty much, yes, but that can be useful for some styles, reggae especially. Believe it or not 40Hz is the bass center on most amps. The only problem with boosting the bass, with bass guitars, is that you lose headroom.

That's the same frequency that the Aguilar preamps as well as many other preamps are set, too.
