Other than that, I don't know; just not my kind of rock and roll, I guess. I find Stipe whiny, and well, Bono is just, uh, Bono?

I absolutely loathe and despise R.E.M. I would rather listen to a loop of my wife's nagging than anything sung by Stipe. I do not feel the same way about U2. They're not my favorite band, but I don't hate them either. I'm glad you didn't include the guy from Coldplay. They're only slightly less nails down a chalkboard irritating than R.E.M.

Honestly, I find Bono and Stipe to be two of the most annoying singers around. Just seeing them in a video puts me in a foul mood, but I find Stipe the least annoying of the two.

I was a big U2 fan up until Joshua Tree. Liked a few songs since then but not much. Dont really like Stipe at all, so Bono.

I've seen both bands live, and Bono & U2 put on a show that is miles better than Stipe & R.E.M. While I like a lot of R.E.M.'s music, that concert was easily the worst show (from an established band) that I've ever seen. BORING.
