Is there any other way to bookmatch other than a bandsaw? I don't have easy access to one.

You can send it out to be sawn.
You can cut two passes, one on each edge of the plank, with a table saw, then finish up whatever bridge is left in the middle with a hand saw.

Yes, that sounds like it would be essential with the vertical board and the blade up so high. I can imagine breaking a sweat the first couple of times trying it.Use a featherboard if you use the table saw.

...Wilser is a nut, but you have to give him mass kudos for drive and ambition for resawing that top with a rip saw. That's absolutely hardcore. LMAO
