Boosting an all tube bass amp?

Any suggestions on how to push the power tubes other than cranking the master and blowing up the building?

Power Soak is what I used on Mesa 400 and SVTs long ago.
You can also get a Variac, I knew SVT guys in the late 80's that spent the extra $.
If you are recording, Demeter built a sealed cab for that specific purpose.
That might be interesting to try.

I actually use my fuzz pedal as a dirty boost into my tube amp. I have the volume on the pedal boosted like crazy, with the fuzz set low, so that part of the additional drive when I kick it on is just the amp being hit harder.

It takes a lot to boost my SVT-VR. Breakup is not really noticeable till 4 and a half. I have never played a show louder than 2 and a half...

Power soak or attenuation.. Maybe Acapulco gold pedal.. For preamp boost.. ep boost.. Micro amp.. Micro booster.. 4.23mk booster.. Angry troll..
