Boss BF-2 Flanger on bass?

Cool, thanks everybody. I went ahead and bought it. Was able to negotiate $55 shipped. I'm gonna go ahead and say I did okay before anybody has a chance to tell me otherwise ;)

Late to the party here, have the 2 and 3, like the 2 better but with both less is more or really wet with a blender and mix mostly clean back in but then it's more like a phaser to me.
Well done on your negotiation too.

Gotta say, I'm REALLY liking the BF-2. As others have stated, it's very easy to lay it on way too thick. But at very conservative settings, I feel like it's pure gold, especially for pick tone. If you turn the Res all the way down, Depth at 9, then Manual and Rate to taste, it really just ads a nice shimmer to the sound that makes it stand out in the mix in such a musical way. It also interacts really nicely with my PN-2 (also at very conservative settings).

Of course, it's been ages since I've even used Flange at all, so maybe it's just the effect in general that I like. But I do feel like this must be a pretty good one.

I have BF-3 and it sounds great!! But it looks like the BF-2 sounds better?? even it does not have a Bass input? i know Simon Gallup uses the 2 and i like how he sounds, i wish i could make a tryout bf-3 vs bf-2
