Boss CEB-3 as a HPF???

Hi /effects! I'm selling(not here, i'm from Argentina) my Boss CEB-3 and ODB-3 due to lack of use, but first wanted to try if they still worked fine. Sooo, testing the CEB-3 put to the min rate and depth knobs and effect level to max(full wet) and got a tone i was chasing for some time. The mids were really focused, highs a little bit less harsh and of no muddy sublows.
For reference, i'm using a Sterling Ray34 with nearly dead SS strings, Markbass Compressore, a litlle bit of Fulltone OCD mixed with clean bass before Darkglass B7kU. First try was last in the chain and later put it first to obtain a more subtle effect. Maybe today i'll try it after the comp.
It's not what i thought of a chorus pedal/effect but i liked it. What makes me think, is this some kind of HPF due to the Low Cut knob (left it on 3:00, some lows were cut) and maxed out the wet mix? What am i hearing? :help:

I don't have my CEB-3 anymore to confirm, but if setting Depth and Rate to Zero parks the chorus, I could see the Low Cut, which is meant to High Pass Filter the signal hitting the Wet/Chorus acting as a HPF with effect set to full wet, as you've eliminated the Clean un-effected signal.

There might be a little bit of short delay/doubling going on as well depending on how low the Depth Control goes if it isn't truly zero when set that way.
