Boss Chorus CE-2B Monte Allums Mod, better or worse???

Has anyone had this mod done and what do you think. I just ordered the pedal all the way from Japan for $60 flat. What an amazing deal! This Chorus sounds so good.

Now here's the deal. Before I got it I was planning to get both kits from Monte Allums to mod it. But after playing it I don't want it to lose its "magic."

So, for anyone who has had the mod: Does this mod make the pedal lose its mojo or does it take something that is already amazing and make it even better?

I wouldn't mod a classic CE-2. Too many other choruses that sound great on bass.

I have an early silver screw version of the CE-2. For bass I really like the AnalogMan mini chorus.

After hearing from you and a couple others I'm going to hold off on modding it. I'm going to mod it so that it can take 9v and change a leaky cap but that's it.

As long as you chain it with a 9 volt pedal on the same power supply, it will run fine on 9 volts.
